After a relatively short year and a half silence, Jacob Bellens announces the release of his new single Do You Have Anything Harder? / Itchy, digitally and on 7 " vinyl (with download code) on Wind Some Lose Some Records. Both songs were recorded during the summer of 2013, and produced by Anders 'Ormen' Christophersen, continuing the successful collaboration the two found with Bellens' solo debut "The Daisy Age" from last year.
Bellens stakes out new musical ground with this release. On "Do You Have Anything Harder?" the performance is laid back, almost reminiscent of a mid-century crooner. The spirited and eclectic "Itchy" mixes the use of sound effects and orchestrated string arrangements. After putting his two bands, I Got You On Tape and Murder, on hiatus, Bellens has begun a very production solo period. Besides side projects with Dragon Born (aka Kristian Leth and Fridolin Nordsø) and Kasper Bjørke, he has been busy compiling material for two solo albums.
