Description
Difficult to categorise but impossible to resist, Whiskycats’ blend of jazz, funk, disco, skiffle,
house and Latino grooves is enough to whip any audience into a frenzy. They have appeared
alongside acts as diverse as Arctic Monkeys, Arrested Development, Norman Jay, Plan B, and
Gilles Peterson. Their music has also been used on campaigns by Sony, 3 Mobile, O2, Innocent Drinks and Volvic. Their long-awaited eponymous debut album has been produced by Jim Spencer (New Order, The Charlatans, Black Grape), and was recorded late last year at The Charlatans’ Big Mushroom Studios and at Johnny Marr’s Clear Studio at his home in Cheshire. The album features the heavily-anticipated first single "Slipped Disco", which has already won national support from Xfm’s John Kennedy and Nemone at BBC 6Music.
Tracks: Slipped Disco / Amsterdam / Steady Freeloader / Locked Out Lover / Dirtbox The Filth Queen / Y*s To Fuck / Bint / In This Chair / Plasticine Magazine / Slippers / God Of The Vacuum
