    “Anja Silja is one of those artists who are bound to create a sensation. She was extremely young, just twenty, tall and very slender with a mop of red-gold hair, and possessed an enormous voice of extraordinary ringing quality” Penelope Turing

    The production took place in Bayreuth in 1960 and has been newly remastered for this release.
