  • Description

Jeff Beck is a phenomenon. Being a 'master of tone' he always believes in his own style and artistry. He started to play guitar after hearing Muddy Waters and Buddy Guy. He got his first big break stepping into Eric Clapton's shoes after 'Slowhand' had quit The Yardbirds. Together with Rod Stewart he started the first Jeff Beck Group. He even turned down a chance to join The Rolling Stones during this time. Through all of his work there is a persistent quest for sound. He incorporates Jazz, Fusion and Electronics into his own blend of Rock and Blues.
On this compilation a host of first-class musicians pay tribute to one of the music industry's true legends. With 13 tracks Jeff Beck's work is highlighted from different angles. You can hear interpretations from speed-masters like Richie Kotzen, Greg Howe, Steve Lukather, Brett Garsed and T.J. Helmerich. But as with Beck himself, there are many more angles to explore. Argentinean Fernando Pareta plays the blues and Scott Henderson adds his jazzy, fusion-like sounds to the Jeff Beck universe. The album also features three legendary drummers, Simon Phillips, Dennis Chambers, Vinnie Colaiuta plus Billy Sheehan, Kirk Covington, Rick Peckham to name but a few.
