  • Description

A tribute album to the late, great Hamish Henderson, poet, songwriter and collector. The songs and poems are all Hamish's own work with the exception of "My Son David", which is a traditional song sung by the amazing Jeannie Robertson, who was 'discovered' by Hamish during a field recording trip to the North-East of Scotland.

Other singers on the album include Alison McMorland, Gordeanna McCulloch, Margaret Bennett, Adam McNaughtan, Dick Gaughan, Rod Paterson, Jim Reid, The Corrie Folk Trio, The Laggan and more, while Dr. Fred Freeman reads two poems and Allan MacDonald plays a couple of laments on the Highland bagpipe.
