Description

Most people are left in a nostalgic trance after a LosFeliz set - metaphorical ambiguity often transcends to extremely personal accounts, expressed with a satirical edge to soften the blow.

"When I decided to record Ancestry, it was pretty instantaneous and unplanned - A lot like the music itself which comes from a very subconscious deep rooted place that's full of childlike dreaming, self acceptance, ironic religious iconography, lost-love memoirs and tonnes of overgrowth - it's all in there!"
All songs on the album have been recorded in a rural chapel in Wales that her ancestors built and the music is somewhat a peace offering to family ancient and found.

And in fitting with this, only friends and close acquaintances have been used in the production of Ancestry.

Johnston (I Touched The Undertow, MoonAltar) and mastered at Church Rd Recording Studios (Esben and the Witch, Fear of Men), LosFeliz is music to be listened to mostly in the dark, and will take you to a place where nostalgia and intimacy live harmoniously.
