Description
The Rossecker are a special cultural association. Founded in 1920 and named after a nearby mountain, the group has always stressed work with young people.
Their activities range from arts and crafts to fostering local traditions, lay theatre, folk singing, folk dance, "Schuhplattler" (special Austrian/Bavarian folk dance) and especially authentic traditional costumes. Rossecker have been invited to many international festivals and they have won the flag for "Best Styrian Dance and Shuhplattler Group" several times.
Over 27 tracks they play accordion, clarinet, tuba, guitar, cow bells and other instruments mixed with yodels, "Gstanzl" (songs containing humour, innuendo or criticism) and Shuhplattler.
