Not long before the release of his breakthrough third album, Damn The Torpedoes, and - legend has it - just weeks away from undergoing a tonsillectomy, Petty led his crew through highlights from their first two albums, Tom Petty & The Heartbreakers (Breakdown, Fooled Again (I Don't Like It)) and You're Gonna Get It! (the title track), plus, among other songs, a brace of blues covers (Route 66, I'm A King Bee) that established the up-and-coming star as an old hand at the Americana stylings he would refine throughout his career.
