Description
Thom Hell is well established and looked upon as one of the finest singer, songwriter and producers in Norway. Rooted on the sweet side of 60's and 70's pop he is honored with 3 Norwegian Grammy Awards both as an artist and as a composer. Happy Rabbit is Thom's 8th album following Until This Blows Over from 2015. His 2012 album Suddenly Past was produced by LA powerpop legend Jason Falkner. 2013 saw him make the wonderful Sound of the Ocean sound with roots act Larkin Poe. Thom Hell has also contributed to albums with major Norwegian successes like Marit Larsen, Minor Majority and Jonas Alaska, and has scored several hits as a solo artist in his native Norway.
Happy Rabbit is both an original journey through pop history and a fresh breath of new sounds and directions within the frames of a pop melody. He searches for new harmonies and instrumentation in his compositions, and finds complexity to go alongside the beautiful, sometimes naïve melodies. Any listener will of course nod joyfully to the references of McCartney and Elton John, but Thom Hell has definitely managed to create his own musical universe and floats happily beside the greats.
The album will be released internationally on vinyl, CD and digitally Nov 11th, following the singles 1985, Leave Me To Die and Famous.
