Description
The Invitations began in the mid-60s and had various lead singers before Lew Kirton came along in 1973. Lew is the vocalist on both "Look On The Good Side" and "They Say The Girl's Crazy" from 1974, re-released here for the first time. The original pressings were on Silver Blue Records, a label set up by songwriter/producer Joel Diamond. Both songs are arranged and co-produced by Bobby Martin in Philadelphia and have the full Philly sound. Lew would later leave the group for a solo career during which he is best remembered for "Heaven In The Afternoon"
