This CD collection presents a broad range of Hansjorg Angerer's many recordings and also serves to showcase an extraordinary artistic personality in his entire versatility. The Art of Hansjorg Angerer allows you to experience the art of horn playing - encompassing in an extremely fascinating way the natural horn, the double horn in F/B flat and the horn in F as well as the historical Parforce horn, highlighting the special musical interpretations of this artist. An essential aspect in the characterization of horn player Hansjorg Angerer is, however, his versatility which is also reflected in his recordings, highly acclaimed by international specialist critics. For instance, he made the first ever recordings in the world of works for the natural horn by Punto and also a model recording of Mozart's horn concertos. With the F/B flat double horn and the horn in F he has realized classical repertoire as well as contemporary compositions, both as soloist as well as with the Horn Ensemble of the Mozarteum University. He also devotes a major part of his activity to works for the historic Parforce horn whereby he follows on from the Viennese tradition of Josef Schantl as well as the traditions of the neighbouring countries that used to be part of the former Austrian empire.
