Description
Carlotta Dalia presents the guitar made by Hermann Hauser for Andres Segovia in 1939, an instrument of unique historical significance. Hauser developed his construction method over many years in close collaboration with Segovia, inspired by Spanish guitar makers such as Antonio de Torres and Manuel Ramirez. The 1939 Hauser combines German precision with the warm, full sound of the Spanish tradition. Its Brazilian rosewood body and fine spruce top give it an extraordinary depth of sound. Unlike Segovia instruments in museum collections, this guitar can still be played. After spending time in various private collections, it is now part of an important Italian collection. Carlotta Dalia is now giving it a new voice, allowing its unique timbre to resonate and bringing the tradition of Hauser and Segovia into the present day.
