Description
One of Ireland's most famous musicians, Sharon Shannon began her career in 1991 as a guest musician with The Waterboys. She has subsequently toured the world and collaborated with the likes of: Steve Earle, The Waterboys, Jackson Browne and Kirsty McColl. Also featured on the album: Sinéad O'Connor, drummer and producer John Reynolds, Donal Lunny, Kirsty McColl, Waterboys Steve Wickham and Trevor Hutchinson.
The tracks on this album are a mixture of original instrumentals and vocal tracks with singers, Sinéad O'Connor, newcomer Pauline Scanlon, Irish singer Roisin Elsafty and Kirsty McColl. The diverse material on this album ranges in origin from Irish and Scottish reels and jigs to the latin flavoured 'White Strand Sling' to a cover of Fleetwood Mac's instrumental hit 'Albatross'. -
