Description
Though the Ink Spots disbanded in 1954, since then many singers have used the name - most with sketchy or no connections whatsoever to the group. What makes this compact disc authentic and important is that all the tracks are by the three bona fide, long-serving members of the original Ink Spots.
Namely lead tenor Bill Kenny, second tenor Deek Watson, and baritone / guitarist Charlie Fuqua fronting their own line-ups, singing 25 songs including the number one chart hits "If I Didn't Care", "Address Unknown", "Maybe", "We Three (My Echo, My Shadow and Me)", "Into Each Life Some Rain Must Fall", "The Gypsy", and "To Each His Own", each in carefully-remastered stereo or hi-fi sound.
An enclosed 12-page booklet contains a study of who were the genuine Ink Spots members, information about the recordings on this CD including session details and composer credits, and archival Ink Spots images.
