Sean Watkins returns with his eagerly anticipated second solo album. As guitarist in Nickel Creek, Sean contributes elegantly powered rhythm guitar, mesmerizing fluid lead guitar and a large percentage of their songwriting to their unique, progressive acoustic sound.
Though his first disc "Let It Fall" was a more meditative, instrumental affair with bluegrass instrumentation, "26 Miles" features everything from loops, piano, horn, drums, vintage keyboard and a string section.
While "Let It Fall" was mostly instrumental "26 Miles" includes 10 vocal tracks among the 13 tracks on the album. The core band consists of extremely versatile jazz musicians that Sean jams with in San Diego when he's not touring with Nickel Creek. -
