"One highlight of the album is the Scherzo (1935) by Grazyna Bacewicz, arguably the most gifted female composer of all time. […] it is dispatched playfully, the pianist savoring the crisp dissonances while maintaining a firm pulse." – Gramophone
"There are several stand-out discoveries on this recording. […] For sheer sonic surprise and strength it's hard to beat Franghiz Ali-Zadeh's Music for Piano. The piano's sound is haloed with unexpected layers and resonance […] her piece brilliantly juxtaposes low, percussive outbursts with contemplative conjurings." -BBC Music Magazine (Performance 4 STARS; Recording 4 STARS)
"Sarah Cahill has presented an impressively broad selection of pieces. She is a powerful advocate for the cause of women who write music. She is also an indisputably great pianist. Her playing illuminates each work, and shows it off in best possible light." – MusicWeb International
