Description
Featuring five chamber music works, this recording expands on the work that Sabine Sauer previously dedicated to various aspects of my music for solo piano. Here, the piano plays a central role in each piece, either expanding itself (Sonnantes for four hands) or participating in various instrumental combinations. It engages in dialogue, asserts itself, insinuates, blazes, murmurs - reveling in colours, nuances, sonorities, and sensations. As the thread and backbone of this programme, the piano enriches the different worlds, and in return, it is enhanced and seeded by them. Each partner, whether individual or collective, is simultaneously an extension, multiplication, and incite-ment. Thus, from work to work, the piano progresses; and the landscapes change, renew, and illuminate each other.
