Description
The veteran bassist and accomplished composer, Ron McClure, has a keen eye for spotting talented young jazz musicians. In 2012 he introduced us to a gifted 17 year-old jazz violinist Gabe Terracciano and on 'Ready Or Not' McClure gives another young (22-year old) tenor saxophonist, Chad Lefktowitz-Brown, a chance to shine alongside Terracciano.
McClure's major early association was with the famous Charles Lloyd group that also featured a youthful Keith Jarrett. Since then he has performed and recorded with the likes of Dave Liebman, Lee Konitz, Carla Bley, Michel Petrucciani, John Scofield and John Abercrombie.
