Description
Formed in 2014, the Bordeaux-based trio Red Sun Atacama blends desert psychedelia with punk rebellion. A wild, volcanic landscape, the Atacama Desert fascinates and inspires the band. It bewitches their sound and gives it an incomparable magnetism. After self-producing a first EP "Part 1" in 2015, Red Sun Atacama released a vibrant first album in 2018. The record established the unique style that the trio had forged: raw and insolent. For their second album, Red Sun Atacama signed with the Mrs Red Sound label (label of the heavy psych group Mars Red Sky) and hired Amaury Sauve from The Apiary studio in Laval for the sound work. Live, Red Sun Atacama manages to capture all the hypnotic fury of their studio work. They have had the opportunity to share the stage with heavyweights of the international heavy rock scene such as Uncle Acid And The Dead Beats, Mars Red Sky, Planet of Zeus, and Slift. In 2024, they performed at influential festivals like DesertFest Belgium and Hellfest, before joining Dopelord on tour throughout Europe as their official support act.
