    Very limited edition 2CD digipak. Restored and remastered from the original FM Broadcast.

    Kicking off with an unexpected "Box of Rain" opener, the first set built great momentum and crested as Carlos Santana joins for incendiary renditions of "Iko Iko" and "All Along the Watchtower".

    The second set launched immediately into a powerhouse "Scarlet Begonias" into "Fire on the Mountain" and "Playing in the Band" sequence. Exceptional.

    After a spirited "Dear Mr. Fantasy" and "Playing in the Band Reprise," the band delivered a massive, deeply fervent "Morning Dew" standing out as the glowing core of the afternoon.

    Coming during the late-summer '87 tour following Garcia's return to health, the festival atmosphere at the fairgrounds was marked by a relaxed mountain vibe and classic Northern California energy. Worthwhile jams and a sweet high time!
