Description
The 1971 released Focus II - worldwide repackaged as Moving Waves - is the second studio album by Dutch progressive rock band Focus. Formed in late 1969 and originating from Amsterdam, Focus recorded this album with the line-up Jan Akkerman, Thijs van Leer, Cyril Havermans and Pierre van der Linden; and the group gradually became of the most influential Dutch rock bands of the 70s.The album was an international hit upon release in 1971, reaching No. 2 in the UK, No. 4 in the Netherlands, and No. 8 in the US album charts. It includes the group's most successful single "Hocus Pocus". Moving Waves is listed in Q and Mojo's magazine list of "40 Cosmic Rock Albums". We celebrate the 55th anniversary of this classic album with a beautiful remaster from the first-generation studio master tapes by Focus/Jan Akkerman-archivist Wouter Bessels.
Moving Waves is available as limited numbered edition of 1500 copies on clear, silver and blue marbled coloured vinyl.
