Description
It all started in 2017 at IMEP (International Music Event Production), where a group of young musicians discovered the pleasure of improvisation, before reconnecting a few years later through Paris's jam session circuit, from that encounter came the band Who Parked The Car, a collective of eight artists from France and Latin America.
The band quickly made a choice that's become rare: no leader. Everyone composes, writes, arranges and takes part in artistic decisions. This way of creating naturally shapes music where pop energy, jazz freedom, funk and improvised music meet without ever losing sight of the groove and the pleasure of playing together.
With Wrong Answers Only, their first album recorded with Alice Chahbazian, Who Parked The Car continues this collective adventure with a new narrative thread. Conceived as a mock emotional-survival guide, the record follows a character moving from absolute confidence to a loss of control, before gradually finding a form of peace - with humour and warmth, the story of those who rack up wrong answers before finding the right one.
On stage, the songs evolve from one show to the next, arrangements shift, the musicians regularly swap roles, and improvisation stays at the heart of every performance - an approach that notably won them the Made in New York Jazz Competition in 2024, judged by a panel including Mike Stern, Lenny White and Randy Brecker.
