This latest Bridge recording documents Nadia Reisenberg's acclaimed Chopin recordings, originally issued on Westminster LPs recorded in the late 1950s and now released on CD for the first time. Reisenberg studied with Leonid Nikolayev (St. Petersburg Conservatory), with Alexander Lambert (a Liszt pupil) and with Josef Hofmann and has appeared with Barbirolli, Rodzinski, Bodanzky, Koussevitsky, and others.This four disc set with more than five hours of Chopin remastered, includes Chopin's complete Nocturnes, 56 Mazurkas, Barcarolle, Op. 60, Berceuse, Op. 57, Allegro de Concert, Op. 46, and the Sonata No. 3, Op. 58, taken from a 1947 Carnegie Hall concert.
