Description
This South American trio produced only three albums in the space of 12 years, each of which received international acclaim by both audiences and critics alike. Their 2003 debut album Um Dia De Chuva represented a welcome change in the jazz scene by showing how it was still possible to produce creative and inspired music that transcended cliches and stereotypes. Three years later Depois represented a confirmation of the trio's vitality in its original approach to jazz. With their third album, The Flight/Voo, the lineup of Brazilian drummer Ricardo Mosca and Cuban pianist Yaniel Matos, complemented on that occasion by Sidiel Vieira on double bass, highlights how the trio's music had further evolved and enriched in content, while remaining firmly in the groove traced by previous works.
Previously only available in Brazil, this 2016 album is now available in Europe for the first time.
Yaniel Matos: piano
Sidiel Vieira: acoustic bass
Ricardo Mosca: drums
