Composed of brothers Dave and Jon Gershen and Jim Rooney, Borderline was at the center of the fertile '70s Woodstock scene, as virtually every famous musician in a_30-mile radius played on the two records they made for United Artists' short-lived Avalanche imprint, including Ben Keith, Vassar Clements, David Sanborn, and Band members Richard Manuel and Garth Hudson.
Both albums are minor country rock classics, and both see an American CD release for the first time on this Real Gone release. Even better, we found the thought-to-be-lost tapes for The Second Album (which was never released on LP), and added notes featuring quotes from all three Borderline members and photos from Jon Gershen's private archive!
