Caitlin Bender, Jon Ahn, and Garett Cassidy are buds who play fast, catchy, adventurous jams and their genre is hard to pin down, but it's mathy, heavy, and poppy with punk aesthetics, so if you want to say pop punk, that's up to you. Caitlin met Jon and Garett on tour in 2008. After moving to Pittsburgh, Caitlin eventually convinced Garett and Jahn to play with her, thus creating Calyx around 2014. No one daring to hold anyone back, their tunes are intense and complex while still being fun and approachable. -
