The voices of all four band members are featured equally, with each musician taking a share of lead vocalS and backing vocals with a focus on layered harmony vocals, a feature more in line with some of the band's earlier recordings.
At first glance, the album's lyrics appear to make reference to Biblical events, politics, technology and conflict - but looking deeper, the album is ultimately about people and human interaction, relationships, moods and emotions; what inspires us as individuals and the contrast between our inner selves and what we let others see; how we pick ourselves up after falling; our vulnerabilities; our self-destructive tendencies making significant life changes.
