'Hey Rock And Roll' reached #2 in the UK Singles Chart and there started an incredible chart run of singles throughout the decade, culminating with Showaddywaddy eventually having more UK hits in the 1970s than any other act…including Abba!
The hits just kept coming, 'Sweet Music', 'I Wonder Why', 'When', 'A Little Bit Of Soap', 'Heartbeat', 'Three Steps To Heaven', 'Pretty Little Angel Eyes', 'Remember Then', 'Sweet Little Rock 'n' Roller', 'Dancin' Party', 'You Got What It Takes', 'Hey Mister Christmas'……
This new 2CD collection, features all of the band's 23 Top 40 hits, including nine Top Ten hits and the Million-Selling #1 single, 'Under The Moon Of Love', alongside, album and concert favourites in this 61-track set.
"The Golden Years" gives a marvellous insight as to why Showaddywaddy are still revered and selling out concerts today and continuously acknowledged as the hardest working band in the country, currently with 109 shows currently scheduled between July 2026 and May 2028!
This set has been produced in collaboration with Dave Bartram, who still manages the Band's recording and live performance activities. -
