SWEDISH SINGER-SONGWRITER JONATHAN HULTEN RETURNS WITH HIS NEW ALBUM 'EYES OF THE LIVING NIGHT', AVAILABLE ON DIGIPAK CD WITH 12-PAGE BOOKLET & LP - THE FOLLOW UP TO THE EXTRAORDINARY DEBUT ALBUM 'CHANTS FROM ANOTHER PLACE' .
Building on the haunting beauty of his 2020 debut album 'Chants From Another Place', Swedish songwriter Jonathan Hulten returns this year with the highly anticipated follow-up - 'Eyes Of The Living Night'. Recorded at Stockholm's Chanting Studios & co-produced with Ola Ersfjord (Lady Blackbird/Tribulation/Monolord), 'Eyes Of The Living Night' is a remarkable showcase of Hulten's distinctive blend of folk, rock & pop. Drawing influence from the likes of Bert Jansch, John Martyn & Nick Drake as well as contemporaries such as Anna Ternheim, Chelsea Wolfe & Hexvessel, Hulten's music both acknowledges the genre's heritage & reinvents it in innovative & intriguing ways.

"Staggering emotional depth, as well as an astonishing poetic economy, his less-is-more approach creates a sense of reverence & vulnerability that invest the material with a potent vitality"

    - Metal Hammer

'Eyes Of The Living Night' delves deep into the human spirit. Merging the raw emotion of his earlier work with a more expansive, otherworldly sound, Jonathan Hulten has created an album that shimmers, taking listeners through the decades of rock, synth-pop, blues & folk on a journey best described as "Ambient Dream-grunge".

"His multi-tracked vocals make for goosebump-raising ASMR" - Classic Rock

"The title Eyes Of The Living Night is about reawakening a sense of awe & wonder in one's perception of the world" Hulten comments. "Finding imagination to be a key to breaking free from the wheels of stagnation & to rediscover hidden treasures within the depths of one's mind. To plunge into the abyss of your own fears & anxieties & to emerge on the other side, transformed by the experience. The "living night" as a concept symbolizes the mystery & hidden creative potential, we all carry." - Jonathan Hulten

The new album follows extensive European touring from Hulten throughout 2023 & 2024, most notably his recent series of shows supporting legendary act, The Cult, in Europe & the UK, with a North America tour confirmed in February 2025 with Uncle Acid & The Deadbeats.

This edition of 'Eyes Of The Living Night' is presented on digipak CD with a 12-page booklet of artwork & lyrics.
