NEWLY REMASTERED MID-PRICE CD EDITIONS OF THE SECOND AND THIRD ALBUMS FROM THE UK DARK ROCK SUPERGROUP

THE FIRST TIME THESE ALBUMS HAVE BEEN RELEASED ON INDIVIDUAL CD's

U.K. progressive post-rock supergroup Crippled Black Phoenix is a musical collective that has featured nearly 30 members in its rotating roster. The constant driving force is multi-instrumentalist Justin Greaves (Electric Wizard, Iron Monkey, Se Delan), who formed the band in 2004 with Mogwai bassist Dominic Aitchison. Creating what they describe as "endtime ballads" to signify both the slightly macabre nature of their songs and the unusual blend of styles as the final evolution in music. The band have made live shows a focus by performing in unusual venues across the world as well as using Victorian-era instruments in tandem with more modern instruments, often involving more than a dozen members on-stage.

In 2006, Crippled Black Phoenix released their debut album, 'A Love of Shared Disasters', on Invada Records followed in 2009 by 'The Resurrectionists' and 'Night Raider', which have now been remastered for reissue on Kscope - following the success of their 2018 album 'Great Escape' on Season of Mist. 'The Resurrectionists' and 'Night Raider' completed a trilogy with 'A Love of Shared Disasters', featuring literary historical tales and personal stories of loss and love, the band produced a captivating sound that's simultaneously archaic and modern. Back in 2004, the then Electric Wizard drummer Justin Greaves started recording songs he'd had in his head for several years using primitive recording techniques; these recordings formed the bones of Crippled Black Phoenix. During 2006 the band recorded their debut album in Bristol during the recording old friends aligned and helped Greaves fully realize visions that had been pestering him for years. The result is the culmination of all the members' eclectic influences.

This mid-price CD edition of 'The Resurrectionists' is released in tandem with 'Night Raider' in digipack packaging complete with an 8-page booklet. It features newly remastered audio and newly designed artwork. The re-issues will follow the band's 20-date headline European tour in support of their new album 'Great Escape'.

CRIPPLED BLACK PHOENIX'S 2009 ALBUM 'THE RESURRECTIONISTS' REISSUED ON KSCOPE - NEW DIGIPAK CD EDITION INCLUDES 8-PAGE PRINTED BOOKLET.

U.K. progressive post-rock supergroup Crippled Black Phoenix is a musical collective that has featured nearly 30 members in its rotating roster. The constant driving force is multi-instrumentalist Justin Greaves (Electric Wizard, Iron Monkey, Se Delan), who formed the band in 2004 with Mogwai bassist Dominic Aitchison. Creating what they describe as "endtime ballads" to signify both the slightly macabre nature of their songs & the unusual blend of styles as the final evolution in music. The band have made live shows a focus by performing in unusual venues across the world as well as using Victorian-era instruments in tandem with more modern instruments, often involving more than a dozen members on-stage.

In 2006, Crippled Black Phoenix released their debut album, 'A Love Of Shared Disasters', on Invada Records. This was followed in 2009 by 'The Resurrectionists' & 'Night Raider', both of which were remastered & reissued by Kscope in 2019. These albums, together with 'A Love Of Shared Disasters', form a trilogy exploring literary historical tales & personal stories of loss & love, blending an evocative sound that feels both archaic & modern.

The origins of the band trace back to 2004 when Justin Greaves, then drummer for Electric Wizard, began recording songs he had envisioned for years using primitive techniques. These early recordings laid the foundation for Crippled Black Phoenix. In 2006, while recording their debut album in Bristol, Greaves was joined by old friends who helped bring his long-standing musical vision to life, resulting in a unique sound shaped by the members' diverse influences.

This new digipak CD edition of 'The Resurrectionists' features audio from the 2019 Kscope remaster & is complete with an 8-page printed booklet.
