Description
The Mosaic Orchestra is an eclectic group of musicians with different backgrounds in ambient/jazz/world and folk music genres. It's instrumental music composed with the specific idea of producing music that carries the mood, atmosphere and energy of each colour of the spectrum. The band spent two years researching the spectrum colours - working with people in the field of colour research and colour therapy.
Researching the effects and moods of different colours is quite an emergent field - with interest amongst designers, artists and alternative health specialists. The aim of the project was to produce music that has the same effects as the colours are deemed to have. The music ranges from inspirational to haunting and soothing, up-front to ambient. It's music that reflects the nature of colour in sound. -
