Description
The Austrian composer Helmut Rogl has been an integral part of the concert life of his home country for several decades.
His oeuvre includes chamber music of all kinds, various solo works and a children's opera, as well as music for larger ensembles.
On the occasion of his 60th birthday in 2020, he composed his first symphony, which is given its world premiere and first recordinghere by the orchestra of the Anton Bruckner University in Rogl's hometown of Linz under the experienced baton of Manfred Mayrhofer.
Music for brass and for strings rounds off this album, which â after the recordings of his cello works and the music for
saxophone(s) â impressively documents another facet of Rogl's broad musical oeuvre.
