    Two further archival recordings of Havergal Brian's symphonies appear together on Heritage's latest release. They have a special significance in the reception history of Havergal Brian's music. The performance of Symphony No. 7 was the work's world premiere, recorded in the presence of the composer on 16 June 1966 and broadcast by BBC Radio 3 on 13 March 1968. The recording of Symphony No. 5 - Wine of Summer was the work's first professional performance, given at Alexandra Palace, London, on 29 September 1976 as part of a festival of four concerts celebrating the centenary of Brian's birth.
