Description
Founded in 2011 by the four young American musicians Jonathan Allen, Victor Caccese, Ian Rosenbaum and Terry Sweeney, the percussion ensemble Sandbox Percussion was born out of a love for chamber music and the pure joy of making music together.
One of their principles is a long-term and close collaboration with composers to whom they commission works.
Their first CD for COVIELLO thus not only represents the first nine years of their successful work as a percussion ensemble, but also revolves around four composers whose music and the resulting close relationship have turned the artists into the musicians they are today.
