Description
From the very inception of both Hospital Records and Med School Music, right up to the present day there's no disputing the impact that the world of vinyl and it's community has had on the trajectory and success of both our labels. With it officially being 4 years since our last release in conjunction with the seminal music collectors celebration of vinyl culture, we're proud to present our latest contribution to Record Store Day featuring two remixes of equally essential releases from both labels.
On the A-Side is a rework of Netsky's infamous 'Iron Heart' from Hospital's Cambridge based duo Nu:Tone and Logistics, back for another bout as production powerhouse and force of D+B nature, Nu:Logic. Waves of soul layered with playful undertones below the original supercharged synth work for equal doses of nostalgia and energy on this one.
The B-Side features the Med School component of the release, and in true Med School fashion brings the plot twist hard and heavy. Classic 'Begin By Letting Go' by Etherwood is transformed into a stomping-ground growler by fellow Med School sonic surgeon Whiney, who effortlessly retains all the original's euphoric melancholy elements while dialling up the danger for a bittersweet stepper ready to claw its way through dancefloors across the world. Approach with caution.
