Nirse Gonz?ílez, First Prize Winner in the prestigious 2006 International Francisco T?írrega Guitar Competition, has studied at the Royal Conservatory in Madrid under Jos?® Luis Rodrigo Bravo, and is at present studying at the Robert Schumann Musikhochschule in D??sseldorf with Joaqu?¡n Clerch. In this recital he presents a varied selection from some of the finest composers for guitar, as well as transcriptions from the music of Johann Sebastian Bach. The winner of the 2005 Francisco Tarrega competition, Michalis Kontaxakis, also brought out a Naxos Laureate CD. Kontaxakis is now considered one of the finest young guitarists in the world. \Kontaxakis was the winner of the 2005 Francisco Tarrega Competition and thus appears on Naxos's Laureate series.
