  • Description

Recorded at Dublin’s Vicar Street during The Hearts' sold out four-night stand in February 2007, this album and DVD double set features some of Ireland’s finest instrumentalists at the very top of their collective game. Percussionist Noel Eccles says, "There’s unfinished business! When we last played it was as an instrumental band and we always felt we hadn't finished exploring the possibilities of our unique line up."

    Description

Rubyworks is delighted to announce the release of Moving Hearts exhilarating 2007 concert recording 'Live In Dublin' for the first time on vinyl.
Recorded over three sold-out nights at Vicar Street in February 2007, the band line-up comprises 6 of the original band who recorded the classic 1985 progressive Celtic-folk album 'The Storm', and these recordings draw heavily on that landmark longplayer. Guests include the incredible trad-fiddler Kevin Glackin and guitarist Anto Drennan, best known for his playing with The Corrs and Genesis.

'Live In Dublin' has been remastered for vinyl release from the original masters by Kevin Tuffy at Alchemy Mastering in London (where the original CD was cut in 2007.) The vinyl album running order restores the original gig set-list running order.

Presented as 2 x 140gsm records - LP1 pressed on yellow vinyl, LP2 on red vinyl - and housed in a gatefold sleeve, this pressing is limited to just 750 copies worldwide.

This is the only Moving Hearts album currently available on vinyl anywhere in the world.

Line-up: Davy Spillane (Uillean Pipes), Keith Donald (Saxophones), Donal Lunny (Bouzouki), Eoghan O'Neill (Bass), Matt Kelleghan (Drums), Noel Eccles (Percussion) with guests: Kevin Glackin (Fiddle), Anto Drennan (Electric Guitar) and Graham Henderson (Keyboards)
