Their greatest hit, "Love Is Strange" has become one of the most enduring anthems of the rock and roll era, still used regularly in movies and TV series. It has been recorded by 100s of artists over the years including, Buddy Holly, Paul McCartney & Wings, The Everly Brothers, Peaches & Herb and Everything But The Girl. Elements of the song were also featured in Pitbull's 2012 hit, "Back in Time" which was featured on the closing credits of the motion picture "Men in Black 3" and charted all over the world making No 1 in several territories.
Jasmine opens this collection with all of Sylvia's recordings for the Jubilee label recorded between 1952 (when she was just 16) and 1954. Session details are not known but it is possible that Mickey Baker contributed to some of these sessions.
Mickey Baker was one of the most prolific session guitarists in America. Sylvia Robinson, who was once one of Mickey's students went on to have a solo career in the late 60s and founded both the All Platinum and Sugar Hill record labels. includes fully detailed liner notes.
