Anjunabeats label founders Above & Beyond unveil the 16th release in the celebrated 'Volume' series.
Mixed by Above & Beyond, 'Anjunabeats Volume 16' arrives one year after the trance trio-and the world at large-fully emerged out of lockdown hibernation in exhilarating fashion. In September 2021, Above & Beyond played to 20,000 fans in London for their flagship Group Therapy 450 event, then embarked on a 70,000 ticket North American tour. Four of the records debuted to that London crowd are included on this compilation, albeit two in new forms- 'Screwdriver' receives a deeper treatment from Above & Beyond's own Jono Grant, while Oliver Smith reworks 'Gratitude'. 'Projection' is an ID from their ABGT450 set, and soon-to-be-released single 'Chains' shines as brightly in the compilation as it has during the trio's recent live shows.
Label favorites ilan Bluestone, Andrew Bayer, and Genix contribute to the compilation- alongside longtime friends Gabriel & Dresden, Nitrous Oxide, and Maor Levi, to name a few. The compilation also prominently features some of the label's hottest emerging acts, including 'Gratitude' collaborators anam as well as Anjunabeats Rising EP series graduates Alex Sonata & TheRio, Harry Diamond, SONIN, and Laura van Dam. -
