Gaetano Nasillo is one of the most renowned baroque cellist. He regularly collaborates as a soloist with the most prestigious European ensembles on historic instruments, among them Ensemble 415, Concerto Vocale, Zefiro, Le Concert des Nations, Ensemble Aurora, Gli Angeli, and performing with them in Europe, the USA, South America, Japan and Australia. On the current recording, Nasillo plays ten cello sonatas by Luigi Boccherini dating from his early period which were specifically created to showcase the composer's virtuoso performances on concert tours.
