The singer and brainchild behind MAIORANO, Alex Maiorano, was born in Rome, Italy but now lives in Berlin, where this five piece was formed and operates. With Alex in the front, the group writes and perform their own brand of ‘synth-soul’. Listening to their new album Luna Nova, you’re carried by a gentle wave of nostalgia where disco, soul and garage pop trade places in a beautiful symbiosis.
Since the 2018 self-released album ”Glorious Days” Italo-Berlinians MAIORANO have been touring all over Germany, Spain, Italy and Australia. With their new album ”Luna Nova” they enlisted the help from their old friend Nene Baratto, recorded at Big Snuff Studio in Berlin. It’s ten glorious tracks that dip their toes into timeless sounds like the Italian soundtrack to the 70’s and 80's, modern garage pop and classic soul. -
