Luciano is known as “The Messenger” because he has come to teach the people about roots and culture. These are his very early recordings when producer Sky High discovered this talented artist in Kingston, Jamaica. With his creative energy built up and wanting to come out, Sky High arranged for Luciano to go into the studio and come out with this wonderful collection of early material.
Later, under the guidance of Phillip “Fatis” Burrell, numerous recordings came out on the Xterminator label which catapulted Luciano into international stardom and a record deal with Island Records. Island Records’ chief dubbed Luciano “the heir apparent to Bob Marley’s throne”. Today Luciano continues to record and tour relentlessly in his quest to bring the message of roots and culture to his many fans worldwide.
