Musician and painter Steven Lindsay (The Big Dish) releases Chords and Colours in summer 2026. It is the fourth solo album from The Big Dish frontman, and his first with independent label Last Night From Glasgow. The album is preceded by new single Elsewhere and is released on Springtime Green vinyl manufactured at Seabass Vinyl in Scotland. His previous solo album was released under the moniker of Interlopers in 2022.
"It's probably the most interesting and challenging album I've made. The idea was to take the painting titles and write songs. From them....taking me on whatever path that took me down....shackles off so to speak. In the process of this I have visited styles of music that have influenced me throughout my life....from glam rock, punk. post punk, country, dance, ambient music...it's all in there. This has made the process like my life's journey in music and the Arts, and a document of 40 years experience of writing and producing records"
