Hotel Art is Vlado Nosal and Boo Hewerdine. Despite geographical challenges (Bratislava and Glasgow) they decided to explore their shared interest in the eccentric. Lift music, Doormen, Ernest Hemingway cocktails, salarymen. The album is filled with reflections on the "other". Musically they delved into an imagined last century shared record collection. Hewerdine has been making records for four decades, most notably as lead singer of The Bible and Nosal (half his age) is an indie star in his native Slovakia. After releasing three singles in Slovakia that received massive airplay they now release their debut album Elevator Music on Bruuder Records
