Description
Krupka Trio plays melodic, tonal, and improvised jazz that takes its source of inspiration from the rich heritage of Norwegian hymns, which forms part of the trio's cultural heritage and arranges them into a modern jazz musical expression.
Krupka Trio consists of Ulf Krupka on the piano and organ, Line Falkenberg on saxophones and Tine Asmundsen on double bass. The trio has played together since 2010 and released their first CD in 2014; 'Salmer I Jazzdrakt' Vol 1, followed by 'Hymns in a Jazz Mood' Vol 2 in 2018. The saga now continues with Vol. 3.
"This album is the result of over fifteen years of playing together, including many concerts in Norway and abroad. Norwegian hymns remain an eternal source of my arrangements. Purity, combined with subtle joy, improvisational delight, and spiritual depth - characterizes our music. I am happy to be able to present it again to our listeners." - Ulf Krupka, February 2026.
