Description
Finnish guitarist Kalle Kalima has been playing in a jazz trio called Klima Kalima with double bassist Oliver Potratz and drummer Oliver Steidle for 25 years. They have defined their own sound and are constantly pushing their musical boundaries. The result is an original, wild, and creative form of jazz music with elements of rock, blues, and folk. Their new album, Voyager Blues, revolves around the slowly dying twin spacecraft Voyager 1 and 2, which are located in the outer reaches of the solar system. Musically, the focus this time is on a narrative, melodic language. The basic concept is the blues - its simplicity and clarity reflect the loneliness of passing away. In addition, there are melodies and polyrhythmic layers that are interpreted in rock-inspired, constant dialogues between the musicians.
