  • Description

Tungu, whose real name is Sergiy Senchuk, is a sound artist, bassist and experimentalist who resides in Chernigiv, Ukraine. That's a city known, through recent events, for strong resolve. Tungu's music draws on this spirit. He's produced a series of wide-ranging recordings that draw collaborators from all over the world, for example Mia Zabelka, Charles K. Noyes, Al Margolis, Frank Gratkowski or Maggie Nicols. Henry Kaiser is an American guitarist and composer, known as an idiosyncratic soloist, a sideman, an ethnomusicologist, and a film score composer. Recording and performing prolifically in many styles of music, Kaiser is a fixture in the San Francisco Bay Area music scene. He is considered a member of the "second generation" of American free improvisers. Henry founded Metalanguage Records in 1977 and has collaborated with people like Fred Frith, John French, Wadada Leo Smith or Elliott Sharp. In 2001 he spent over two months in Antarctica which led to collaborations with filmmaker Werner Herzog, for whose films he made underwater camera work but also soundtracks. The Unexplained is Tungu & Henry Kaiser's second collaborative album. Track list: 1. Intertwined Threads Of Self-Preservation 2. Non-Burnable Photos 3. Glue That Closes Wounds 4. Awkwardness 5. Shadows That Slowly Catch Up 6. Glass Room 7. Pulse 8. Ligyrophobia 9. Consequences Of High Activity 10. The Hidden Corners Of The Mind
