Description
King Capisce's long-awaited third album 'Memento Mori' on Lamplight Social Records, the label owned by James Mainwaring of Mercury Nominated Roller Trio.
Long term friends Roshan Lal (bass), Thomas Ashfield (drums), Tim Feben (guitars and synths), and saxophonists Richard Harrison and Alex Baker, plus new member Ric Booth, recorded their third album at the awe-inspiring Chairworks. Since the release of their 2011 debut 'King Capisce' and 2014's 'The Future Cannot Be Born Yet, It Is Waiting For The Past To Die', they've built strong support for their dynamic and carefully constructed musical arrangements.
Performing widely alongside established modern jazz-crossover bands like Polar Bear, GoGo Penguin and Led Bib, and more further afield acts like Syrian singer Omar Soleyman, dub legend Lee Scratch Perry, electronica breakthrough Lapalux and hip hop pioneers Red Snapper, they've also drawn comparisons to rock outfits like The Mars Volta and Do Make Say Think.
