Description
This album was made in 1972 after Ken Colyer had recently retired from full-time band leading. Released from the burdens of his role as bandleader Ken could relax and experience the joy of playing again with his former colleagues in Studio 51, a special venue for him as, at one time, it was known as Ken Colyer's Club. The items on this album comprise re-workings of familiar material from all periods of his career plus several unusual numbers not easily found in other Colyer collections.
