  • Description

This master tape was lost for 50 years and has just come to light. It's a gem - excellent sound quality and wonderfully restored. Features Ken Colyer, Chris Barber, Monty Sunshine and Lonnie Donegan - all these giants of Jazz in one band. Lonnie Donegan also fronts Ken Colyer's skiffle band. The final bonus? Track 11, "The Cotton Song" - this is the only recording Lonnie made of this song and here it is on this superb album.
URCD198 should sell extremely well - it is the best Colyer CD to come out for a long time and this material from 1954 is coveted.
A launch has been organised at Ray's Jazz Shop at Folye's on Friday 8th October.
